Lowndes was discovered in 2005 by the producers of Showtime's anthology series "Masters of Horror." After landing a starring role in Tobe Hooper's apocalyptic film "Dance of the Dead," Lowndes finished high school and moved to Hollywood to improve her talent and pursue her vocation. Twenty-year-old Lowndes made her theatrical film debut in the horror film "The Haunting of Molly Hartley."
